The campsite is ideally located in the middle of the island, in the vicinity of Saint Georges d'Oléron, in a place known as La Jousselinière, just a few minutes from some of the region’s most beautiful sites and all amenities.
Le Transat campsite is the perfect place to relax, under the shade of the oak, pine and cypress trees. The camping pitches which are either fully or partially shaded measure approximately 100 m2 and are clearly demarcated to ensure privacy. Take a stroll around the campsite’s green, landscaped spaces including the flower-filled garden, the vegetable garden, the orchard and, of course, the mini teaching farm and eco-pasture. They’re great places to walk your four-legged friends who are welcome in this dog-friendly campsite.
With just 77 pitches, Le Transat is a small, compact campsite with an entertainment team on hand to ensure you have a great holiday.
Whether you prefer to stay in a tent, caravan, camper van, mobile home, prestige chalet or more unusual accommodation, there’s something for everyone at Le Transat campsite.
Foulerot beach is just 2.5 km away and easily accessible by bike. It’s one of Oléron’s most beautiful white sandy beaches, located in a bay next to the large Saumonards forest with views of Fort Boyard. Bikes are available to hire at the campsite.
To help you get around the ile d'Oléron, the local districts have organised a network of free shuttles in July and August, serving the island’s many beaches and traditional villages.
There’s a bus/shuttle stop next to the campsite with frequent scheduled departures.
